Having a successful career in the culinary industry requires more than learning the proper knife cuts and mother sauces. NECAT’s Career Services team works with students to develop personal career goals, find the right job placement and learn the career readiness skills needed to navigate the challenges of the workplace. NECAT is committed to not just finding our students and alumni jobs but helping them develop the skills needed to maintain and succeed at their jobs.
The Career Services team remains in contact with our alumni and their employers to provide advice and ensure that both our grad and employer are supported. The relationship with NECAT does not end on graduation day, it just moves to the next phase.
To better serve current students and alumni, NECAT opened a new Career Services and Alumni Engagement Center on the fourth floor of our Boston center in 2022. The center is the hub for career readiness and professional development training and serves as a welcome center for returning alumni. Since opening the Career Services and Alumni Engagement Center, alumni engagement is nearly 100% for our most recent cohorts.
