Giving Tuesday

This past year, NECAT trained a record-breaking 191 students, providing them with skills and confidence to pursue culinary careers. That’s a nearly 20% increase from the year before! And it is thanks to the generosity of all of our supporters, those who have contributed to NECAT at all levels.

We have graduated 60% of students and placed 80% into full-time employment.

Each and everyone of those 191 students comes to their NECAT experience with a story.

Like Randy, who started his NECAT training exactly one month after finishing his 15 year federal prison sentence. He is now on his path to self-sufficiency as a bread baker at Whole Foods. Hear his story here.

Or Dennis, who has worked hard to overcome his former street life and court-involvement. He is now thriving in his Line Cook position at Encore Boston Harbor, making more than he’s ever made before.

And Joanne, a mother of five who is working her way out of dependence on public assistance and is loving her full-time cooking job at NewBridge on the Charles – a Senior Living facility in Dedham.

Our end of year goal is $25,000.

We hope you will consider making us a part of your year-end giving. Your contribution helps steer the stories of individuals like Randy, Dennis and Joanne towards success and empowerment.
